MAYDAY@NA7A.com ...OK NASA, I'm sorry, but

THE SPACE SHUTTLE IS NOW GROUNDED.

..otherwise you will be killing many people. NA7A.COM and NA14A.COM has already gone too far... you too.

The Russian International Space station got some resupply 20 hours ago, from a soyuz,
(Live on Space.com).... There's an additional warning there :-

Shuttle Thrusters a Potential Risk to Space Station

NASA Plan continues to launch with a KNOWN FAULT - “CAPE CANAVERAL - NASA is resuming shuttle flights to the International Space Station despite a known problem that could trigger the loss of both spacecraft and their crews, a risk deemed unacceptable by an agency safety panel.” see :- http://space.com/missionlaunches/ft_sts114_thrusters_050417.html

...But that's not the MAIN problem ... “The Brickyard” is the problem – all those BRITTLE, glued o, fragile tiles that shatter when impacted by even tiny debris..... and

The CRASH of two spacecraft remnants on 17 January 2005 has left an unknown amount of such debris in unknown orbits, descending from that higher orbit to unknown eccentric ones.

Low Earth Orbit is no longer the empty clean and pristine place it once was – there are MANY big chunks of debris, and I don't doubt that a PROPER EXAMINATION would reveal many fragments of ceramic tile fragments from previous shuttle orbits – not just from the one that killed the SECOND set of 7 astronauts and the shuttle, either by damage during take off, or (much more likely in this author's view) by small debris impact on orbit, similar to the speck of paint that NEARLY killed all on STS24, - IGNORED and eclipsed by STS25, “Challenger”.

Such fragments can impact at relative velocities exceeding 10Km/sec – which means 100 times the energy of a high velocity (Mach3) bullet, and even ACTUAL pepper at such velocities is likely to kill people. the orbits are already peppered with lots of hard bits dropped from shuttle and other craft...

So Don't do it.
Don't LAUNCH the shuttle again until the problem is PROPERLY FIXED,

The space shuttle, and the orbits it has previously occupied are all de-facto “mined” by ultra velocity small particles from previous flights of this lethal “brickyard” ....It is NOT a good vehicle, and it is NOT a good orbit.

“Just getting back up” for political purposes will most certainly backfire on you, and the future of ALL future missions in the next 10,000 years.

There's still PLUTONIUM in decaying orbits, (russian cosmos series) that have to be recovered well before then.

NO BRITTLE PARTS (the ceramic brickyard covering) NO EQUATOR CROSSING ORBITS and NO MORE REENTRIES for anything other than the astronauts in small purpose built re-entry modules.

Priorities need to be CHANGED

I CAN RE-CONFIGURE YOUR I.S.S. RE-SUPPLY MISSION TO GREAT ADVANTAGE,
Without too much delay.

Dead astronauts in Orbit.
There is, I believe, an 80% chance of a succesfull shuttle mission without any corpses..... But I don't think you'd get 7 such missions without losing one, so, unless an average of one person killed per mission is acceptable, then
HEED THE WARNING :-

You need "DOUBT" and "TEST" .... NOT “Trust” and “Faith” ... Especially in a politically compromised design by politically compromised military designers with a commercial budget.

Who am I to say? ... My qualifications are adequate – I have eyes, ears and a brain. If my figures don't match yours, it is also POSSIBLE that YOU have made a mistake. Re-think, Re-check
